In Alándalus Club we bring you this semi-cured goat cheese Montealva, made in a 100% artisan way and with natural ingredients.
Quesos Montealva is a cheese factory with more than 60 years of family tradition by the Álvarez Aguilar family. Their cheeses are made following artisan methods using natural ingredients without adding artificial preservatives and with a very careful maturing process.
In addition, their cheeses are certified by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, which proves that their cheeses are made entirely from 100% Payoya goat’s milk. This breed is native to the province of Cádiz and is highly valued for the properties and nutrients of its milk.
The semi-cured cheese has been awarded numerous prizes, among them:
- Bronze medal at the world cheese awards in 2019 and 2017.
- Silver medal at the world cheese awards in 2018.
