Bluefin tuna roe is considered as the Spanish caviar, and it is one of the main salted products of our gastronomy.
Our tuna roe comes from yellowfin tuna (THUNNIUS ALBACARES), whose fishing is extractive. They are handmade, following the traditional Mediterranean method, and are subjected to a very careful process, resulting in a product of intense flavour and pleasant texture.
No preservatives or colourings, only the best raw material (tuna roe) and sea salt. This guarantees that the resulting product meets all the expectations of the most demanding palates.
This bluefin tuna roe should be kept between 0º and 25º C, in a cool, dry place. Once the package has been opened, it should be consumed preferably within 10 days.
Below we comment on the result of the product after the salting process. In this salting process, the roe undergoes modifications in its nutritional properties. The resulting salt levels are high, so it is not advisable to consume them continuously. Especially in people with hypertension or fluid retention. The rest of the nutrients are reinforced, as they suffer a loss of water, the concentration of all of them is higher.
