The Melva Canutera of Andalusia is a blue fish and, therefore, its consumption supposes a great benefit for the organism. This fish comes from the family of tuna and bonito, and its Omega-3 content makes it a very healthy product. On the other hand, the Melva is a fish with a wide versatility in the kitchen.
The difference between the traditional melva and the canutera Melva lies in the two factors: the weight and color of the fillets. The traditional Melva presents a compact texture and can reach 50 cm in length and 1.5 kilos. While, on the other hand, Melva canutera does not reach 600 grams.
