Description
“Los martes, pescao” book by Charo Barrios
“On tuesdays, fish”
This is the continuation of a project: cooking at home by planning weekly. If “lunes, lentejas”(On mondays, lentils) began suggesting legumes for the first day of the week, this book wants to recommend the consumption of fish as stew, so that it can be prepared in advance.
The book is not a masterpiece on fish cooking, but a modest cookbook with basic information about the world of fishing. Let’s not forget that Spain is the second world consumer of fish after Japan.
In addition to 38 simple fish recipes, the book proposes other dishes and some desserts. But on Tuesdays, “fish” also suggests a series of balanced menus. These are directed to the home cook who seeks to feed his family in a healthy way.
In this volunteer activity, she has collaborated with social, religious, cultural and equality organizations. Since 2008 he has published the personal blog www.comeencasa.net, promoting healthy cooking, nutrition, gastronomy, and culture. As a blogger, she has been involved in radio, television and print and digital press programs. She has also participated in show-cookings, has given talks, and is a frequent contributor to several cultural and gastronomic publications. The author defines herself as an activist communicator in defense of home cooking, as an effective remedy to take care of health and prevent many diseases. In her blog, Charo Barrios pretends that her readers value the daily kitchen, and learn to love what the small details mean.
