Loxa Extra Virgin Olive Oil comes from the north of Granada. It is a delicious oil due to its hojiblanca variety which gives it a particularly peculiar taste. Smooth from the beginning and then with a slightly bitter finish.
It is not by chance that olive oil is known by the nickname of ‘liquid gold’. Its nutritional properties are beyond doubt and its gastronomic value is so important that the Mediterranean diet would not be understood without it.
EVOO is practically the only oil that can be consumed in its natural state, and it is a product obtained only by mechanical means. It is authentic natural olive juice, so if we start from a good raw material and take care of the production process we will obtain as a result a delicious food with countless beneficial properties for our health.
Loxa oil comes from the San Isidro de Loja Cooperative. They elaborate a virgin olive oil of excellent quality, which has some characteristics very defined by the area that make it incomparable, the singularity and richness of the soil and the climate of this region, typically Mediterranean but strongly influenced by the Sierra de Loja, is the ideal place for the varieties of olive trees cultivated here, with the predominant varieties being the Hojiblanca with more than 80% and to a lesser extent the Picual.
