The history of La Despensa de Palacios started back in the year 1743 when Antonio Santaella, entered the service of the Marquis of Estepa as a baker.
Today, more than 250 years later, still with a wood-fired oven, there are still descendants who pride their homes with such a noble trade.
After we trained with the best chocolatiers in Switzerland and France, with unforgettable stays like the one we had with the family of Maurice Bernachon (supplier of the Elysée Palace) and Paul Bocuse, we made our own chocolates and all kinds of chocolates.
To this day, it is the only chocolate factory that lasts in Andalusia and one of the few artisan workplaces in Spain that work with cocoa beans.
