The Alándalus Club fleur de sel comes from San Fernando (Cádiz).
The main difference with the common sea salt comes from its elaboration process. When the evaporation phase of the sea water begins, a small layer of crystals floating on the surface of the water called “eras de cristalización” is created and this is the origin of this salt.
Its name is due to the shape these crystals leave when they evaporate, forming flower-like patterns.
Fleur de sel is highly prized for its pleasant taste and texture and is used in haute cuisine.
Among the main characteristics of this salt are:
- Low sodium level: it is estimated that 70% less than common salts.
- Source of minerals: it contains approximately 80 minerals and trace elements such as iron, calcium and potassium.
- Helps the nervous system: it contains minerals such as magnesium, which helps regulate the proper functioning of the nervous system.
