Volaera beer is brewed in an artisanal and totally natural way in Puerto de Santa María in Cádiz. It has a vintage style and the passion of its founders for the German brewing tradition and its Purity Law of 1516.
It is brewed with malts, water, hops and yeast. It is unfiltered and unpasteurised and the sediments are natural from the second fermentation in the bottle.
Its production starts with barley, which after a process of germination and roasting becomes malt. It is combined with water and after the boiling process at different temperatures we obtain sweet wort. We then add the LUPLE which contributes to the characteristic flavour, aroma and bitterness of the beer, as well as being a natural preservative. The alcohol, carbon dioxide and many of the aromatic substances that contribute to the bouquet are produced during the fermentation process, which is carried out by the action of the YEAST.
After bottling, a second fermentation is carried out in the bottle for a period of time and controlled by temperature. This allows the gas and the maturation of the yeasts to give it the flavour that characterises it and makes it unique.
As it is not filtered, it may contain sediment, so it is advisable to let it stand upright for a couple of minutes before serving. Serve it very cold in a clear glass previously soaked in water, leaving the sediment in the bottle if you do not want the sediment to cloud the beer.
