Alfajores of Medina – Sobrina de las Trejas 500g

The alfajores are the most representative sample of the pastry of Medina. An alfajor is a sweet pastry with a cylindrical shape, made mainly of almonds and honey. It is then covered in icing sugar and spices such as cinnamon, coriander, fennel seeds, cloves and sesame seeds.

Its name comes from the Hispanic-Arabic al-hasú which means ‘the filling’.
