The Manzanilla Aloreña olive of Arab origin is grown in the Valle del Sol and under Mount Hacho. It is typical of the Guadalhorce region and the municipality of Álora, hence its name. It is harvested with care and by hand so that it is not damaged, combining effort and popular knowledge. We produce “Aloreña partía” organic olives, classified as the supreme table olive. It is a totally natural production made without additives and with the traditional seasoning of the region (garlic, fennel, red pepper, marjoram and thyme). It is ideal for appetizers, salads or as an accompaniment. A must on the table.
The Society “Aceituna Aloreña” was founded by the olive growers of Alora in 1997. The aim was then, and still is today, to bring the product from the land to the consumer, avoiding the action of intermediaries in the process with the logical benefit for the farmers and for the customers.
More than ten years later, time and our customers have proved us right and we are proud of our work in the marketing and dissemination of our products, whose virtues were already told by Miguel de Cervantes himself when he was the king’s procurator in Alora, recommending the king to try these delicacies.
At present we are more than 200 members and the Board of Directors, made up of 16 of us, is in charge of the management of both marketing and services to members: fodder, phytosanitary products, fertilisers, documentation management and constant training.
We have the authentic “Aceituna Aloreña” from “Alora” and also produced by the farmers’ cooperative of Alora.
